KM/ Web 2.0 Maturity Model

I am currently running an assignment where we are looking to map the knowledge requirements within an organisation. The client is less keen on dealing with the explicit knowledge within their organisation, and more with tapping into the tacit knowledge held by their staff. The client is very keen on exploiting web2.0 type technologies to deal with this issue, so I (and my colleagues) have tailored our normal KM maturity model so that it reflects a web2.0 perspective.

Very happy to receive your comments and suggestions on this new model.

You might be interested in a very innovative Web 2.0 tool called Jumper (www.jumpernetworks). It is not a typical blog or wiki. It provides transparent access to any data using Web 2.0 software on the front end that allows end users to directly create representations of data, other users can add knowledge about this data, they can link it to other data, and they can rate it allowing you to ‘tap into the tacit knowledge held by the staff’. On the back end it brokers access to Oracle, DB2, MSSQL databases as well as fileservers and NAS devices to unify search in a single platform.
